In my platform game, my characters move slowly while moving left but quickly while moving right. i set the variables to absolute, but the problem still continues. i have also tried to create other games and the problem persists in those too. please help me fix this.

What probably happens is that your doing the same probllem/error over and over again. Look at www.freewebs.com/zagster/example3.htm. My example. This, although having coding and top-down view, should help. How movement should be is like this. Left x-=4 Right x+=4 If your using speed as opposed to changing the x value it could be a problem. Change it to be Jump to a position relative x=-4 y=0for left and Jump to a position relative x=4 y=0 for right |

I am having problems downloading the example. Well are you using speed to move whatever you are trying to move? Or are you jumping? |

speed. the characters walk, not jump.
i have fixed my problem, thank you for your help.
i wasnt using masks, so i had to add them.
